Information Resource Management

Preventive change has the lasting benefit of improving the quality of information derived from any future data and is more cost effective in the long term, although it often presents more challenges to implement. In practice, both corrective and preventive approaches should be implemented so that both short-term and long-term benefits can be maximized.

To assist you in achieving this, we will develop and implement a formal strategy, defining your chosen approach to managing information. This will be used to guide the various role players who will be involved in the development and implementation of the practises, governances, processes and systems needed across the organisation to ensure Information Quality. The practises implemented will include the formalization of information and data ownership/stewardship, the definition of other roles and responsibilities required and the establishment of specific processes and systems to support the achievement of the desired levels of data and information quality. In addition we will provide the necessary education and coaching to your staff to teach them how to achieve the benefits of information quality across your enterprise.

On completion of this intervention your staff will have the knowledge and the tools to measure quality, identify problems and to address the problems that are currently hidden in your existing data. The success of these Information Resource Management Practises will be tested using an ongoing quality monitoring process.
